15 months

How old are babies: 15 months

How much do they weigh: E 23 lbs.12 oz.(70th %) C 19 lbs. 8 oz (10th %)

How long are they: Both exactly 30 inches (10th% percentile)

Clothes: Charlotte fits comfortably in 12-18 months but Ellie is definitely fitting better in the 18 month range.

Diapers: Size 3 during the day; size 4 at night.

What are they eating: Charlotte was such a big girl a couple days ago and ate with her own fork! She sat on my lap and I'd load the fork up then she'd pick it up and feed herself. Big girl!

How are they sleeping: I think their teeth have really been bothering them lately. Either that, or they both have a touch of whatever sinus thing I've got. They have had a tough time sleeping lately. My poor bunnies.

Milestones: I can just see them getting smarter, daily. They listen to commands and look us directly in the eyes. It's just amazing to me.

Major events: The holidays have come and gone. While I'll admit the Christmas tree and garland looked very pretty, I am so, SO glad to have my living room back! Who knew I have a fairly decent-sized space? The girls did great with all of the celebrating and are now experts in the field of gift un-wrapping.

So let's see if we can re-cap the whirlwind that was called Christmas... The Saturday before Christmas we had the annual Dunfee exchange. Our family has grown to the size of a small army (which is good because when we say "my dad makes enough to feed a small army," it now is accurate), so it's a necessity to hold this event at a local radio station. The Sunday before Christmas was the annual Groves gathering which too has grown in number and continues to do so. Christmas Eve day Chris and I exchanged gifts, then that evening we had dinner with my family and exchanged gifts with the group. Christmas morning we woke the girls around 7:15 (to adjust naptime) and watched them enjoy the new kitchen set Santa left! We ate breakfast and laid the girls down for their morning nap then got ready for the Blands to arrive. We had lunch together, exchanged gifts then rushed to get out the door to go to the Fox Christmas. Then we had time to take a breath and enjoy all of our new niffty gifties! I was thrilled to have the entire week of Christmas off and am slowly working my way back into the reality of work...

Appearances: Ellie is looking like a little toddler now because her hair is so long! It just needs to grow about another inch and it'll finally tuck behind her ear. Charlotte's is growing, just not as quickly, but it has cute little curls in the back! I know I'm biased, but seriously they are so incredibly beautiful. I am so lucky.

Personalities: I mentioned it before, but I'm astonished by how much they know and understand already. It really does happen over night. Ellie is really great about shaking/nodding her head which makes it so much easier to get her what she wants. Charlotte has started dancing which looks a lot like Forest Gump before he lost his leg braces. I just love them.

Words: I've added a new category, so I can track all they are saying. Words- get down (complete with hand gesture), thank you (sometimes), mama, dada, uh-oh; Animal noises- dog, cat, fish (it's not really a sound- more of a kissing motion), cow, snake

Mom and Dad update: We are lucky and get to go to Savannah/Charleston this weekend. I'm planning a board meeting for late-March and my boss would like me to check out the venue options in person (woe is me, I know). So I get to go to two of my most favorite places and stay, eat, and explore for free. We'll head to Savannah, check out the location option, explore the city a bit, enjoy the nightlife and head back to the hotel. Then we'll get up the next day, drive two hours to Charleston, check out that option, explore, call it a night and head home the next day. It'll be quick but we'll try and cram in as much fun as possible. And the weather is sure to be an improvement from the mounds of snow and below-freezing temps we have here:

Next doctor visit: Early-April when they'll be just over 18 months old. Holy sh*t where has the time gone?
